Beverly Hills Rehabilitation Center
Projects
Dignity was the driver of this project, creating a rehabilitation facility more like a home than a hospital. Because the majority of visitors to this facility would stay three weeks or less, the goal was to create a healing environment that “lifts the human spirit and gets people feeling good.” This was accomplished using well-lit spaces, open-air courtyards, recessed arched doorways, and light colors that brighten the interiors. To soften its impact on the community, Mediterranean style architecture is used and the openings to the street create a residential look and feel.
