Landmark Sears
Projects
This project represents a master plan for a new pedestrian-oriented mixed-use district at the edge of downtown Los Angeles. The ‘Landmark District’ will be a vibrant urban place for living, shopping, dining and enjoying time out with friends and family.
More than just the sum of its parts, the planned 1450 new residential units, boutique hotel, stores and restaurants combine to create a new community and regional destination that pays homage to the existing Boyle Heights and downtown industrial communities while having a distinct identity that speaks to the 21st century resurgence of historic downtown Los Angeles.
Centered around the historic Art Deco Landmark Sears building and at the edge of a classic Los Angeles neighborhood, the project’s greatest asset is this sense of history and urban authenticity. Combined and contrasted with modern architecture, art and design, this juxtaposition will create a new urban center with a true sense of place.
