Thousand Oaks Project Entitled

The GMPA Architects-designed three-story boutique apartment building located in the heart of Thousand Oaks was recently approved by the planning commission. Clean modern lines and respect for the scale of existing properties steered the project’s design. The building includes 40 units over one level of underground parking. Resident amenities include fitness and club room spaces opening to a landscaped courtyard with lounge seating, a fire pit and barbecue area.

Valley Village Project Wins Approval

In a unanimous 5-0 vote, the Los Angeles South Valley Area Planning Commission approved GMPA Architects’ mixed-use residential project at 12444 Chandler Blvd. The project, located along the Orange Line Busway in the Valley Village neighborhood of Los Angeles, offers 5,000 sf of ground level retail space and 69 residential units, including nine affordable units for very low-income households. 2016 WESTSIDE AWARDS WINNER Beit T’Shuvah Addiction Recovery Center Jury comment: “It’s a complete transformation. It is quite ingenious to tie all the buildings together.” Jury comment: “It is successful in accomplishing integration of unremarkable existing buildings into a new cohesive whole. It’s that, combined with the programmatic aspiration.
